Course Structure
3 Core Units (mandatory):
Applied Management Accounting — Learn to analyse and report on complex cost and performance data to support strategic decision-making.
Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements — Master the preparation and interpretation of financial statements for limited companies, including complex reporting requirements.
Internal Accounting Systems and Controls — Understand how to evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes.
2 Optional Units (choose two):
Business Tax — Gain knowledge of business taxation principles and compliance.
Personal Tax — Learn how to calculate personal tax liabilities and prepare tax returns.
Audit and Assurance — Understand the principles and procedures of auditing.
Cash and Financial Management — Develop skills to effectively manage an organisation’s cash flow and funding.
Credit and Debt Management — Learn how to manage credit control and debt recovery processes.

Assessments: 5 assessments (3 mandatory, 2 optional)
Credits: 99 (Scotland only)
Level: SCQF Level 8 in Scotland, equivalent to HNC/HND or the first year of university study.
